MILAN

Many people visit Milan for a specific reason: majorly a trade show, fashion show or stop over for another major destination. I visited Milan for the last reason. I combined two destinations close to Milan, Tuscany and Lake Como. I wouldn’t say that I would go just to see Milan but I would definitely recommend stopping over when you pass through it, don’t miss that opportunity. Milan hotels are expensive and it’s a bit tricky when booking your stay. Before I visited Milan, I thought that next to the central station would be good enough. When I went there, I found the area good enough for an affordable and calm stay. However if you want to be closer to the bustling area then you might need to raise your budget and stay in Brera area. Personally, I didn’t like staying around the Duomo, I found it congested. As for the time needed to see Milan, I would say one night and two days are more than enough. Finally, it depends on your purpose of stay.

what to do?

day 1

It is impossible to start your visit without going to the Duomo first. Unfortunately, we couldn’t visit inside because the queue to buy the tickets was long. If you’re really interested in the duomo then I suggest buying tickets online. Right next to the Duomo, you can walk through the Galleria Vittorio Emanuelle II. It’s a beautiful place and well done. However, it has only luxury brands and few cafes. I read a lot about Buenos Aires street for shopping but I didn’t like at all. I wouldn’t recommend it and it was a waste of time.

day 2

This was my favorite part of the city and where I found it beautiful. If I go again to Milan, I would definitely stay in this area and make it my hub. It was the Brera area. I loved its streets, shopping, cafes an restaurants. Don’t miss the Brera. I started my walk from Moscova and went through the major street down through the Duomo. In between this super walk in Milan, you would pass by local boutiques and cafes. Don’t miss this day,
