pRAGUE

Prague is one of the cities that I have only visited during the winter, and I have always enjoyed. Practically, the first reason to fall in love with a destination is its architecture. If you just walk the streets of Prague, you find beauty. If you just sit in one of its cafés, you find history. Prague with the Vltava river crossing it makes you romantic even if you’re single. Prague is walkable and almost everything can be reachable by walking. The longest time I stayed in Prague was for 3 nights. You would need 2 full days to visit Prague. If you were a dreamer then you can definitely stay more. The first time I visited Prague I stayed for 2 nights only and it was snowing. This didn’t discourage me from walking the Charles Bridge as it was almost for myself. Usually, Charles Bridge is the busiest in Prague and the most instagrammable spot of the city. The second time I visited Prague, I was combining it with s wellness stay for one week in Karlovy Vary along with my mom. The last time I visited Prague was during the Christmas period and I have combined it with Munich and Salzburg.

what to do?

day 1

It is best to start from the real center of the Prague city, the old square. You’ll definitely feel the gothic vibes of Prague and its beautiful buildings. You can also see the well known Astronomical Clock. As said before, I have walked to all sights with no difficulty. I have enjoyed the small streets until I reached Charles Bridge. Expect to see floods of people taking professional photographer with them and more interesting is the number of brides and grooms. The bridge itself is interesting for its statues as well as visitors. Right after the bridge, I have arrived to the Mala Strana area. By the way, personally I love staying in Mala Strana over the old town of Prague. Mala Strana area hosts different luxury hotels and it is the area of embassies. Now you need to be somehow fit because it will be an interesting walk until you reach Prague castle. Even if you don’t want to see the castle from inside, I would still recommend going up and enjoying a bird view of Prague.

day 2

Today you can enjoy the New town of Prague. I would say that it will be around the area of Wenceslas Square. You can also find many shops around it and during the night is a bustling area. Few points of interest could be the Head of Franz Kafka (wasn’t very interesting for me), the Dancing House. If you want more shopping then you can find the beautiful street of Parizska and around it.
